Mastering Autocad for Mac

I have long used AutoCad for PC but had a lot of trouble figuring out the new interface on the Mac. I wanted to make it work but couldn't spend the time to go back to school.
This is a good book for reviewing the interface and learning some tips and tricks. I went through most of the book and it enabled me to at least fumble around in the Mac version. Before I got the book, I wasn't even able to keep the screens open and would loose the drawing without knowing why.
However, I'm still torn on whether the AutoCad Mac version is good enough yet, and I still go back to the PC version running under Parallels, to do real work. There still seem to be quite a few missing features in the Mac, and the totally changed interface means that you don't know if the missing item is really there and you just cannot find it, or if it is something that cannot be done.
The book is very good and I still use it for a general reference, even for the PC version.

Mastering Auto Cad for Mac

The book arrived as described and on time . As the screen interface for Mac CAD is different to PC Mac I used this book constantly as a reference while learning AutoCad at Tafe which was using PC`s and Classic AutoCAD interface .Very helpful for
home work at home on a Mac. When I started course ,naively thought both CAD interfaces would be the same. Conclusion book all good.

Kindle Version Index Not Linked

This book is more of a tutorial. It takes you through a "project" step by step.
I own George Omura and Brian C. Benton's "Mastering AutoCAD 2013 and AutoCAD LT 2013" (for windows), and it is a phenomenal resource for learning AutoCAD which comes with a DVD of very well done video lessons to supplement the comprehensive tutorials in the book. It also has an excellent index which makes 'Mastering AutoCAD 2013 and AutoCAD LT 2013" a very helpful reference manual as well.
I was so impressed with the quality of the version for windows that I purchased "Mastering AutoCAD for Mac" for my husband. This book was VERY disappointing. The "tutorial" part of the book was not as comprehensive as the version for windows and the index for the Kindle version is not linked, which makes it absolutely useless as a reference manual.
I returned it for a refund.
