This book provides good informations, with many examples, but i noticed that many of them have typos, and even the soulutions are incorrect. Because of this I rate the book as average.

A mile wide and an inch deep

I teach a college level surveying class. This book attempts to cover too much data without going into adequate detail. For an introductory class, it covers the basics too fast. For an advanced class, it does not deal adequately with the specifics. As an instructor, the book offers no support such as answer keys or internet support. I recommend Brinker & Wolf for intro classes and Constructions Surveying and Layout by Crawford for construction surveying classes.
