I swear this series could not get any better!! 100% in love with Kendall and all of the brilliance that come out of that cute brain of hers. This is the second book in a scorchingly hot series that has literally turned me into a needy reader fiending for my next hit of alpha male bad ass. This complete standalone about a swanky lingerie company media sweetheart and the investment tycoon ready to save the day had me wishing their story would never end.
SERIOUSLY, this story is just the cutest with a super naughty twist! Smith Hamilton is the guy that Evie literally grew up with and lusted over. Being 7 years older than her, Smith was every school girl's fantasy. Sweet Evie Reed had no business still seeing hearts and flowers when ever she thought of Smith, but she did. All grown up and completely head strong she set her sites on a tall, muscular, fantastic smelling target and isn't prepared to give up. Funny thing about crushes... Some of the time the crush goes both ways. In this case, Smith realizes his feelings for Evie go way beyond being nice to his best friends little sister...they get freaky and are the kinds of thoughts that could get his ass kicked. She's totally worth the risk and he isn't looking for a blessing to show her what he's made of.
HOLY FREAK'N YEAH! I am the biggest fan of Kendall Ryan and adore this book. Not only do I get another dose of male hotness, but I get the kind of man that will ruin a girls lipstick and burn up the sheets. The millionaire who is humble and keeps it real. She has made me love this man for his honesty and valor. He is the relatable guy who has an award winning smile and magical dick. In other words, he's perfect. Evie is his exact counterpart. Her sweetness is masking the inner goddess completely ready to unleash. These two are my favorite reality couple. Take away all their money & corporations and you get the real, down to earth deal.
Brilliant story. Adorable couple. Nothing in the way of angst at would make me want to stab someone or throw my kindle. Smooth words that lead me to scorchingly sexy debauchery! Loved loved loved. I can't wait for more amazingness to come from this author. 5 stars- FMR Book Grind

I want a Smith of my own!

Kendall Ryan did it again! Book 2 in the Roommates Series, The Play Mate, was awesome. The characters are non related to book 1, The Room Mate, so this can be read as a standalone.
Smith Hamilton is hot, rich, smart and attracted to someone he shouldn't be- his best friend's little sister Evie. Smith hasn't always had it easy so he knows getting involved with someone like Evie isn't the best idea. But can he keep the age old attraction to her a secret or will he eventually give in?
Evie Reed has a problem. She wants her brother's best friend Smith. She wants the reason to model the company's lingerie and she wants it to be for Smith. Evie has so many things going for her, a new fancy education she can put to use, a family who loves her, the job of her dreams but she is missing the companionship. Will she be able to sway Smith to have a relationship with her or will it be a lost cause?
I loved watching Smith and Evie's relationship develop. You laugh in the beginning as Evie tries everything she has to get Smith to notice her and oh does he notice her. You get to watch the awkward moments while they skirt around each other with Evie's brother present and you get to fall in love with the two as they make their relationship work.
I can't wait for more from Kendall in this series with book three, The House Mate. I have no doubt I'm going to love it just as much as I love the first two.

Slow and Steady, Friends to lovers

The Playmate is a standalone forbidden/ friends to lovers romance by Kendall Ryan
The book is about Evie and Smith who have know each other since they were kids, Smith is best friends with Cullen Evie's brother. After Evie loses her virginity unromantically she was a do-over and wants Smith to give her the do-over. The book opens up in Paris were Evie comes up with a plan to seduce Smith into sleeping with her, which fails. After that night Smith can't get Evie out of his head and then when Cullen hires Evie and Smith work on his Lingerie company left by his grandmother the sexual tension begins to build. Evie and Smith romance was slow and sweet they began a "casual relationship" with just going on date. The book heats up when Smith tells Cullen he's dating Evie. Evie is your average 22 year old smart taking heroin who has always had a crush on Smith. Smith is the 30 year old wealthy unable to commit hero, who has always had a soft spot for Evie. The dates between Evie and Smith were always natural and the chemistry was strong.
I loved this book it was slow and sweet so the reader is able to connect with the character and see them falling in love. The characters were relatable. This book is safe from cheating, ow-drama, and breaking up. I would recommend this book for someone looking for a steady romance with a bit of a forbidden aspect to it. While this is book 2 in the Roommates Series it can be read as a standalone, none of the character from the first book are in this one.
